Birthdays, Xmas, Avatar and Games!

So on the 19th I turned 23 years old. How does it feel? Meh, still like 22. I spent it with London Xmas lights and delicious curry and a best mate. Was epic. I did well on the present front. Powerstone PSP, The IT Crowd DVD box set and a Gears of War 2 poster. Was feeling very spoilt and very happy.

Got back about an hour ago from a rather awesome night out at the IMAX cinema to see Avatar in triple dizzle (or 3D as mere commoners name it). I liked it. I really did. It’s just that it was not mind blowing as you would have expected, especially after all the hype and advertising for it.

It was around 3 hours long. My first 3D movie as well, so my eyes took a good 30 mins to get used to the technology. I was shocked how well the 3D was done but it was only at slow sections of the movie where it felt worth while.

There were plenty of bits that were action packed and fast and my eyes couldn’t keep up with both the action and 3D, so it all felt a little blurry. I think I’d enjoy the movie more in 2D.

I got some of my Xmas pressies as well today. I got the Gears of War 2 Batsu set, they look bloody amazing! I also got some delicious chocolates :-) Om nom nom~ Oh and probably the best Xmas card in existence! Thank you very much <3

Right now I am checking out the steam sale. I have a lot of PC gaming to do when I get back. I have picked up Fahrenheit and will be getting Beyond Good & Evil and POP: Sands of Time. Then I will be getting a few PC games in for review: Borderlands, Dragon Age, Trine, Eufloria, Samorost 2 and Machinarium. On top of my Magna Carta 2 (360) and Alien Breed (XBLA) to review. Then Uni work! Going to be a busy month or two!

At least I am busy! Gaming hard. That is always important!

Anyway it is nearly 3am, and I need to sleep.

Night!
