Well last week has been a bit manic, if coming back from Ubisoft’s Montreal studios was not enough! So let me fill you in.

2 days after arriving back in London, I was back out to EA’s Winter Showcase 2009. Here I got to check out some of their latest releases including Left 4 Dead 2, Mass Effect 2, Command & Conquer 4, Army of Two: The 40th Day, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Dante’s Inferno, Sabotage, Skate 3 and more. The day was a great laugh, got to hook up with some friends and have a few drinkies. I also met Kane from Command & Conquer which was kind of a special thing for me. I know cheesy!

Then this week I had an Xbox Collectives event on Monday. This was an excuse to get drunk and celebrate Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm hitting the Xbox 360 publicly. Was a fantastic night, got to hang out with some old and new friends and see Aceybongos monster new ‘tache.

On Wednesday I headed into Soho with Sony to check out the launch of their Video on Demand service! Equally another reason to get a bit flustered and drunk! Great night had by all, got to meet Guy Cocker finally. Also met PS3Attitude and Lee from That Videogame Blog which was good.

Friday was the launch of Left 4 Dead 2. Little disappointing this one. It was hosted in some tiny oven-like pub. 2 pods set up to play which were not connected so no one could get a 4-player co-op match going and the only saving grace was the free bar. Such a shame, it would of been great to have a line of consoles going for L4D2 madness!

During that time I managed to pump out 2 essays and some of my portfolio in one night for my Journalism class! Insane! So yeah, last few days have been very productive… but I have not mentioned one thing.

CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 & ASSASSIN’S CREED II ARE AMAZING!!

Yeah, my poor little life has been consumed by these delicious video game specimens! Mmm Ezio, mmmm Makarov (don’t ask.. long story). As I sit here and type this all out my fingers are itching to get back on my 360 and pump some more hours into these babies. According to my Raptr account I have busted out 71 hours in Modern Warfare 2 and 24 hours in Assassin’s Creed 2.  I have a problem I think!

I am so happy to see two titles I was particularly excited about doing extremely well. Expect a review of AC2 in the next week or so. So yeah, I’m out for now. Need to finish some writing and get my Magna Carta 2 review on!
